CONSTRUCTION READINESS TRAINING (CRT)

     Apprenticeship Preparation Training  

Apprenticeship and Nontraditional Employment for Women (ANEW) in Partnership with South Seattle Community College offers an eleven-week Construction Readiness Training program.  The 11 week course prepares student in basic hand and power tool operations, industrial safety, worker rights and responsibilities, strength building, basic blueprint reading, trades math, hazardous material handling, employment readiness, resume prep and interview skills.  Students will be participating in training with industry trades such as Cement Masons, Electricians and Painters.

Classes are held fall, winter, spring and summer quarter. Students must attend an orientation and successfully complete the Job Readiness Training (JRT) prior to enrollment.

Class  meets Tuesday  – Thursday 8:00am to 4:30pm.*

* Training schedules may vary. Physical fitness and case manager check-ins are to be arranged.
