Apprenticeship & Non-Traditional Employment for Women (ANEW) is a 30+ year old non-profit organization headquartered in Renton, Washington.

ANEW improves peoples’ lives by providing quality training, employment navigation and supportive services leading to successful family wage careers.  Founded in 1980, ANEW is the longest continuous running pre-apprenticeship program for women in the county and has a unique and successful reputation for assisting women into an apprenticeship. Since inception, ANEW has expanded its mission to continue to serve women, but to additionally serve other underprivileged populations in this space. Our programming serves diverse people and interacts with apprenticeships, businesses, labor, workforce development, and colleges to recruit, train, and support job placement in construction trades careers and other non-traditional employment pathways.

Director of Development –  ANEW seeks an energetic, strategic Director of Development to drive its fundraising work. The Director of Development will create and implement strategies for long-term growth in annual and alumni giving, major gifts, and corporate, union and community partnerships. S/he will play a key organizational leadership role to mobilize the executive director, board members, program staff and volunteers into effective development and communications efforts. The right candidate will join ANEW in a time of exciting growth and increased public awareness and reputation.

RISE Up Program Manager – ANEW seeks a social justice advocate whose primary responsibility is administering the RISE Up Program pilot.  The RISE Up Campaign seeks to create an inclusive culture in the construction industry. This position will develop and implement an exciting pilot in partnership with Sound Transit to ensure work-site culture is inclusive and equitable. The position will work closely with a research organization to evaluate and adapt the program as needed.

Youth Exploration Program Manager –  ANEW seeks individual who is excited to work with youth exploring construction career pathways as a Post Secondary education option.  Working under the supervision of the Advocacy Manager, the Youth Program Manager is responsible for overseeing all performance related and programmatic logistics for ANEW’s Post-Secondary Exploration Clubs/Workshops for Department of Vocational Rehabilitation eligible youth.  This critical position requires a dynamic and versatile person who can manage multiple projects and deadlines. Additionally, this position will oversee the creation and implementation of the exploration clubs and workshops serving area school districts.
