ANEW improves people’s lives by providing quality training, employment navigation and supportive services leading to successful family wage careers.  Founded in 1980, ANEW is the longest continuous running pre-apprenticeship program for women in the county and has a unique and successful reputation for assisting women into apprenticeship. Since inception ANEW has expanded its mission to continue to serve women, but to additionally serve other underprivileged populations in this space.

Pre-Apprenticeship Program Instructor (Full Time)

Reporting to the Training Coordinator and working closely with other ANEW staff, this position is responsible for providing instruction for ANEW’s pre-apprenticeship programs, K12 career exploration events, and four week bootcamp training programs. This position must work collaboratively with the Director of Training, ANEW Team, and partner organizations.

Youth Exploration Program – Trades Coordinator

The main function of this position is to provide services that obtain and maintain meaningful exploration opportunities for in school youths, that may achieve opportunities in pre-apprenticeship and/or apprenticeship opportunities. Services include but not limited to: instruction and supervision of Department of Vocational Rehabilitation students, coordinating sites with school officials, and community agencies. Plan, Coordinate, Instruct, and Implement work-based training/exploration during school hours, after school, or weekends and school Holidays.

Youth Exploration Program – Pipeline Navigator

The main function of this position is to provide services that obtain and maintain meaningful exploration opportunities for in school youth, that may achieve opportunities in pre-apprenticeship and/or apprenticeship opportunities. Services include but not limited to: presentations, outreach, & recruitment of Department of Vocational Rehabilitation students, school officials, and community agencies. Increasing student participation through recruitment. Coordinating weekly to monthly workplace readiness training during school hours, after school, or weekends and school Holidays.

Outreach & Recruitment Specialist

The Outreach Specialist is responsible for working with the team in executing the outreach and recruitment plan for ANEW’s pre-apprenticeship training programs. Outreach activities include but are not limited to attending job fairs and community events, creating collaborative referral partnerships, and forming relationships with K12 organizations.  The Specialist will also support the organization’s efforts to build relationships with identified apprenticeships, community organizations and other non-profit or government programs. The Specialist will work closely with the Director of Marketing & Outreach and the Apprenticeship Specialist, as a team with shared responsibilities and goals.
